Christie Black was born in Las Vegas, Nevada and grew up in Europe. She attended Menchville High School in Newport News, Virginia.
Both of her parents served in the United States Air Force. She has one younger brother.
Christie began acting and modeling at an early age. While living in Italy, she landed her first international campaign which was for United Colors of Benetton when she was 10 years old.
In High School she ran track and field, played basketball, and was a thespian. During her sophomore year in high school she and her teammates set a National Record during their Championship win at Nike Indoor Nationals in the 55-M Shuttle Hurdle Relay. Upon graduating high school Christie accepted a Track and Field Scholarship to North Carolina State University. She competed in the heptathlon and pentathlon.
She earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Mass Communications with a concentration in Public Relations from Virginia Commonwealth University where she was involved in Student Government and Directing Student Events.
Christie represented the state of Virginia as Miss Virginia United States and Miss Black Virginia USA.
Her hobbies include traveling, learning about different cultures, exploring forms of art, and working with children.
